Handy Dandy Meat Pies

These delectably savoury turnovers are
deliciously easy to make!

Handy Dandy Meat Pies
Recipe prepared by Angel Shannon, www.cookingwithangel.com

½ lb. ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey, sausage, etc.)
½ cup chopped onion
¾ cup chopped, seeded and drained tomato
1 clove garlic, minced
½ t. salt
1 t. sugar
½ t. pepper
½ t. red pepper sauce
1 ½ t. cornstarch
Package of puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
PREPARATION:
Brown meat in skillet; drain if necessary. Add onion, tomato, and garlic; cook for 10 minutes stirring
occasionally or until onions are clear. Stir in cornstarch, salt, sugar, pepper and pepper sauce.
Continue cooking and stirring occasionally for 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll each pastry sheet into a 12 inch square and cut into 4 equal pieces.
Place about 3-4 tablespoons of meat mixture in center of each square, dampen edges with water and
fold into triangle to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until nicely
browned. Serve with gravy if desired. (we use country gravy)

The Goods

2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls
2 c shredded chicken
1 1/2 c coarsely chopped broccoli
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c diced red pepper
1 c mayonnaise
1 garlic clove, pressed
salt and pepper to taste

Put 1 package of chicken breasts in the crockpot for about 4 hours with a small amount of water covering the bottom. Add one packet of good seasons dry italian dressing, and let cook till you can shred the chicken. (About 4 hours). You can use any shredde chicken, but I think cooking it this way packs the chicken full of flavor and makes it extra tender.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine chicken (slightly cooled), broccoli, cheese, bell pepper, mayo, salt and garlic; mix well.
Lay crescent rolls out into a circular shape, overlapping slightly.
Scoop filling evenly onto pastry. Fold tips of crescents loosely over top of filling.
Cook for 20-23 minutes.

More Daddy-Daughter

SHower?? WHat!!

I still haven't figured out how to shower before Brielle's nap or 10 pm! I can't leave Brielle alone with the baby cause she will maul her to death and Teja can't be sat down for one second with out screaming--unless she is sound asleep, which I never know when that will happen! So how do you do it??? How do you get ready? or do you??

On top of that--how do you clean with one hand?? We had my mom and dad, me, and adam all weekend and it still seemed impossible to keep my house clean.

My two Girls!
