Quick Update!

We are doing good! Baby Teja is already on a good schedule. She only wakes up once during the night and we just love her to pieces. She will be two weeks on Friday. I can't believe it. I had my first breast infection already (first with Teja--I had two with Brielle) and it was miserable. I would get a lump and massage it out and then it would move to a new place and I just couldn't keep up with it and so it finally got me and out me down for a couple days. I got some antibiotics and now I am feeling much better!!! Oh--and I know how lucky I was that I didn't have to experience any labor pains--but let me tell you what!!!!!!!! The uterus contractions I had the first few days of nursing all but made up for that. I was in so much pain--bloody and sore nipples along with the contractions I literally thought I was going to kill over and die! Adam had to rush over and massage by back while I was feeding her just to make it through and I had to do my labor breathing! It was pretty crazy! Glad that is over!

WE celebrated our anniversary yesterday--nothing big! Just dinner and a movie! Some day we will do something extra special-I just know it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I also got so fed up with Brielle constantly wanting her "Ba Ba" that I took it away. I had her throw them away and then I took the garbage out to the trash can. She was not happy! She threw a few tantrums and then she would randomly start crying through out the day when she would normaly have her bottle. When Adam came home she even tried to ask him for her "Ba Ba" but it didn't work. Kids are so dang smart. She has done really good though. She made it through the night and to the next day. I will keep you posted on it!

TEJA EMIRI BAGLEY

Well she finally made it here!! February 6th 2009...the day before Grandma Jana's birthday. She was born at 10:14 am, she weighed 8 lbs 2 oz, and she is 20 inches long. Her name was picked the night before she came into the world. Teja (pronounced like Deja Vu but with a T) means RADIANT and Emiri (pronounced like Emery) is two Japanese words put together BLESSED WITH BEAUTY and TRUTH (Emi & Ri).

The labor and delivery were amazing. I was induced on Thursday night. I had to come in at night because I wasn't dialated at all when I went in for my last appointment. For inductions they have you come at night if they have to soften your cervix and in the morning if not. They gave me some pills at about 9 pm to soften my cervix and an ambien around 11 pm to help me sleep (which didn't really work that well). I started to have a little cramping from contractions and so they gave fentynol which was heaven--took away the uncomfortableness and knocked me right out til about 4:30 am which was when they were getting ready to check me again. I was dialated to a two and they were ready to start me on pitocin. So Adam and I took a little walk around the halls to stretch a little and then about 5 am they gave me an epidural and pitocin. So---if you can't tell I pretty much didn't experience any real labor pains. It was amazing. At about 9 in the morning I as dialated to a 4 and around 9:30 I was feeling some pain in my right side and by ten I asked if they could check me cause I felt some pressure and I was ready to go! So they called my Dr. and she came in I pushed about four times total and Teja was born. Literally the best and easiest delivery ever! I don't know how or why I am so blessed with such easy deliveries but I am very THANKFUL to my Heavenly Father.

Teja was a very active baby in my belly--ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT!!! While being monitored she was moving around so much that she kept kicking the monitors off or moving so they couldn't find her heart beat. It was pretty funny. She came out with the cord around her neck (she could still breath) and her leg--from all that moving and shaking! She is also a pretty good screamer--an excellent set of lungs!!! She has picked up nursing perfectly and is a great sleeper! Brielle just adores her already. She knows how to say her name and when we talk about Teja or when she sees her she always says "Ooh" just like we do when we see babies. It is so much fun. She is very soft with her and she even tried to share a potato chip with her yesterday--I will be keeping a close eye on her for sure!!

We are sad Adams mom and family couldn' be here this time but I have loved also having other friends and family able to visit. Its especially nice living (staying) so close to the hospital. Adam can run home anytime and be right back. We will probably check out today and hang out at my parents for a couple more days and then head back down to St. George to our new town house.
