Birthday??

So I am trying to figure out what I want to do for my Birthday in September and I need some help. I want to be able to invite as many people as can come and do something we can all enjoy. Preferably without kids. Here are some choice that I have found so far...

2. Arcade
3. Bowling
4. Go-Kart races
5. Miniature golfing
6. Paintballing
7. A fun center
8. Ballroom/salsa dance lessons
9. Murder Mystery dinner (anyone know a place that hosts these?)

If you have any other ideas or if you like any of these please tell me. Most likely we will be in the Salt lake City area! Ya'll are invited

CARS!!!!

I have a little story for you about a car....Actually a long story...

Once upon a time there was this girl named Brooke and she moved to Hawaii. This was her second year living there and she had decided that she wanted a car to get around this time, instead of having to take the bus. When she arrived to her new house she found a set of keys. "Who's are these?" She asked her roommates.

"Those are a girls who used to live here and she left the keys here for a friend to sell her car that is sitting out front."

"How much is she selling it for? I really need a car."

"I think around $1000."

Brooke had to think about this one. Did the car run? Maybe I should take it for a test drive..."Shoot," Brooke thought to herself as the bus passed her. "I missed the bus, now I am going to be late for work. But wait a second, I could drive this car. Its just sitting here and no one seems to mind if I take it. That way I will know if I want it too. Perfect." She grabbed the keys and away she went.

That is how this whole story started. Now for the fun part. I had called this girl and asked if she would take less money for it and if I could make payments to her. She thought about it and agreed. She must have wanted to get rid of it bad since she no longer lived on the island. I was elated! I had found a car for super cheap and it seemed to work well. I was going to finally have the freedom that I needed on this island. It was a great car at first, I drove it all over. I was able to start a dance class about 45 minutes away at a Keiki (childrens) school, get to work everyday, go shopping whenever I wanted, give friends rides, etc. So one day on my way to my dance class I stopped at Kmart to look around and when I came out to my car it wouldn't start. The battery seemed fine it just wouldn't turn over at all. So I called Adam (who I had just started dating) and asked if he could pick me up on his way home from working at the art gallery in town. We had to figure out a way to get it towed all the way back to Laie. So he called his dad and we went home and got the truck and a tow rope and headed back into Halawa. When we got there we found a tow rope in the trunk of my car. That would have been nice to know since we could have towed it while we were still there. (I forgot to mention, the security of Kmart told us we could not leave it there overnight or else it would get ticketed or towed.) So we hooked it up and towed it across the street to another parking lot that wouldn't tow us if it was left overnight. On our way home we got stuck at a bridge, it had been raining off and on all day and then really started pouring by the time we headed back. The bridge was flooded and they wouldn't let anyone across. So we sat there for probably an hour and talked. This was in a way a good thing for our relationship because of all the stress and the time to really spend together. So anyway my boss, being the great man that he is (thanks Frank), had it towed for us using his AAA!!! OK THIS IS GETTING REALLY LONG! I WILL JUST POINT OUT THE MAJOR PROBLEMS AND YOU WILL GET THE DRIFT!

1. Paid for car
2. No title (girl promised she had mailed it)
3. Car dies in Halawa
4. Car towed by us and then Frank
5. Found out fuel pump had been replaced my Mickeys
6. Mickeys towed to shop
7. Mickeys said they would fix fuel pump again for free
8. Driving car
9. Car dies in Halawa, again
10. Mickeys tows car for free and fixes again for free
11. Driving car
12. Car dies at house in Kahuku
13. Mickeys tows car and fixes again for free
14. Buy new car
15. Left cd player face in car
16. CD Player stolen while in Mickeys parking lot
17. Pick up car, they have to jump start it. Said they left the car door open so the battery had died but it should be fine if I drive it for a minute
18. Car dies, have to jump start every time I drive
19. Try to sell car but no one wants it because we have to jump start it every time they come to test drive it
20. Still no title. Girl has ordered new one and still waiting for it
21. Tow car to Shore House so it can be seen on a busier road to sell
22. Girl calls and says original title just came back to her, sends it right away
23. No one wants car
24. Drunk driver crashes into fire hydrant near car girls say that it got totaled and they towed it away
25. Sweet no more problems...its gone for good
26. NOPE!! Girl calls and says she can't renew her drivers license because there are some unpaid tickets on car in her name (we didn't switch to our name since we were selling it by the time we got the stupid title)
27. WE pay tickets
28. Done
29. NOPE
30. More tickets
--Come to find out while the car was parked at the Shore House the cops had been ticketing it for abandoned vehicle or something. And then the city towed and and it got more tickets. Now it has been auctioned by the state and someone else is driving it. YES, that is right, it was not totaled it had just been seized by the state and towed because of outstanding tickets, which we didn't know about or even think could happen.

So thanks a lot to the U.S. Postal Service and Mickeys Repair!!! You have cost us around $1,517.00 and still has the possibility to go up!! There are more tickets that are pending and the state is deciding if they want to drop them or make us pay $950 more. I do take some responsibility, we shouldn't have just forgotten about it, we should have followed through with it and gotten a battery and sold it!!! Thanks little Nissan you made a great story!!!

Clothes

Is anyone giving away, selling, or can I borrow girls winter clothes for size 2T??? Or shoes in toddler size 5! Please let me know...Adam would be so glad if we didn't have to buy all new stuff right now!!! Thanks!

Christmas

Fellow BYUH/TVA/Hawaii friends and family...

I was just wondering how many people will be in Utah over Christmas break??? Thinking maybe we can have a little reunion. Please let me know if you are interested and please let others know too!! It would be fun to get as many people together as we can.

Brielle LOVES her DaD!

GRoWinG Up

On Saturday, August 9th Brielle looked like a preschooler! I coudn't believe it! She is growing up so fast and I couldn't believe how this little outfit and her hair made her look twice her age. Brielle is now 17 months old...going on 3:-) Isn't she cute though! We love her to pieces!!

"The DESK"

This is Adam's make-shift desk. I told you that in order for us to get an internet connection we have to go sit outside on our porch. Adam needed to use the mouse (I think he was trying to play a game) so he brought out our cork board and made a desk for himself. So when you see new posts or get emails from me, you can now picture where we sit do them.

Brielle being Mischievious

1. I was in the living room and Brielle had gone into the kitchen when I heard a strange noise and wondered what she could possibly be doing...hence the picture. She had opened the drawer, climbed in, and pulled her left over lunch plate off the counter. All you can see in the picture are the grapes that rolled onto the floor, but what you can't see is the knife and plate that I took away from her as soon as I saw what she had done. It was one of those mini knives that are really sharp. She was just banging it on the drawer.
2. KETCHUP!!! Brielle learned how to start dipping her food so lately I have been giving her ketchup, spaghetti sauce, honey, and syrup to let her dip her food in. Well, this day we had given her ketchup and she decided to drink it...what can I say she is a ketchup lover just like ME and everyone in my family. I don't know about Adams, but it might be genetic. I had to stop putting it in a drinkable container and now I just squirt some on her high chair. Even then I catch her just dipping her fingers in it and sucking it off.
3. Most of our cabinets have child proof locks on them, but the landlords said they had left a few as is so that they could teach there daughter the proper use of them (thats kind of what he told me). This is one that doesn't have the locks and it just has our pans in it but Brielle loves getting the lids out and banging them together and on the floor. I guess we had put the lids in the back because she practically had to crawl inside the cupboard to get them all out.
4. Our 1st dish broken by Brielle. I take complete and total blame for this too. I had a glass of water sitting on one of the end tables from when Brielle was taking a nap and had forgotten to put it up on the counter...well Brielle loves drinking out of cups so as soon as she spotted it she ran over and picked it up. As soon as she had seen that I knew what she was doing she booked it to the kitchen and right as I was going to grab her she threw it! (Mom you probably remember since I was on the phone with you.)

Brielle enjoying her back yard

Brielle would like to thank her Daddy for the funnest back yard ever. She just loves the dirt, rocks, bugs, and mostly the mud! Watch out cause she flings it every where.

The Back Yard Project

So when we moved in to our new apartment I was very excited that we had a fenced in back yard. It wasn't very nice looking, mind you, but still it could keep Brielle contained. So we asked our landlords if they cared if we did anything and they said "go right ahead." We couldn't do anything about the fence, but Adam went to work on the rest. As you can see it looks like someone wanted to plant a garden at one time, but it looks like it was a garden of weeds. Adam pulled the weeds and threw the railroad ties out and this is what it looks like now...Dirt! We were going to get some rocks to cover it but Brielle really enjoys when we turn the hose on and let her play in the mud. So we have left it as is for now. It does look a ton better to me.

Just something I was taught in Sunday School

A few weeks ago in Sunday School we were having a great discussion, on a topic that I can't remember, which led to a great challenge...sort of! I don't know how many of you have seen Miss Congeniality but at the end of the movie they ask her what she wished for and she said "I really do want WORLD PEACE." I would have to agree and I regularly think about this. Especially after watching the news every night now and also Dateline. I would not recommend watching either if you want to keep your sanity in tact. I made the mistake of being sucked in and I just can't believe what is happening in our world...I, Brooke Anne Bagley, really want WORLD PEACE! Which leads me to our Sunday School discussion and the new goal/challenge that I would like everyone to try with me...it goes like this...

If we can, each of us, pray for peace in our own lives then WORLD PEACE could be accomplished. This person said something to the effect that we may not be able to do anything about the world, but the Lord has said if every member of the church would pray for peace in there lives, there would be a huge affect on the peace of the world. 12 1/2 million people could change the world. So my challenge to you is this...PRAY FOR PEACE IN YOUR IMMEDIATE WORLD!

I hope this might help, and I am sorry that I am not as eloquent with my words as some of you are...but I love you and I hope and pray for us to all have PEACE!

Long time no SEE, no Speak, no HEAR, no WRITE

So I know it has been a long time since I have updated anything on our blog, and I am sorry. We have to sit outside on our front porch to get connection (yes, because we are borrowing). If Brielle is awake she has to come outside too and she always ends up running away. So I don't usually try while she is awake, and while she has been asleep I have been reading BREAKING DAWN! That is not much of an excuse...it only took 2 1/2 days to read, which makes me really sad. It also makes Adam really sad...I think he enjoyed not having me beg him to play card games with me:-) The other weeks, I have no excuse for not updating! I have wanted to but as soon as I sat outside and had time to check other things I had lost my motivation and patience with our computer and the connection.

I am here now and this is what has happened at our house in the past month...

In the middle of July we went up to Bear lake for my Erekson Family Reunion. We have this reunion every year. It is my mom's dad and all his brothers and there families. It was a lot of fun. Zed and Alise rode up with us...don't know how much they enjoyed sitting in the back with Brielle, but we had fun conversations with them. Up at Bear lake we went to the beach and ate good food and played with all our relatives. Zed brought his potato gun and we were all watching him shoot potatoes of our deck, when the boys all spotted a deer and started aiming for it. I don't think any of us actually thought he would get it so we didn't stop him, he even admitted that he didn't think he would get it. Then "splat" hit the deer right between the eyes and the deer bucked and ran off a few feet. It was crazy, and of course sad. But the deer really seemed fine other than the fact that he didn't run that far away.

Adam ended up getting a Monterro in Logan for dirt cheap so that we could have second car. So him, Alise, and Zed rode back down to Cedar together and Brielle and I stayed in Logan for a few extra days. Adam loves his new rig...he takes it four wheeling all the time now. Its sort of his new hobbie here since he can't go boogie boarding. There is always mud underneath it in our parking lot. I got my haircut from my friend Tay (which has been almost a year since I had gotten a real trim). She just had a baby in May so I got to play with her. It was the 24th of July, so we went to the North Logan City parade and went swimming a couple times and the Sports Academy pool. Brielle even taught herself how to float with her arm floaties. She is pretty good, but a little too brave for me. I have to constantly watch her. She is too much of a dare devil.

I was able to convince my brother and my mom to come down and visit us...I had it all planned out. Colton was going to come with me and help with Brielle and then my mom would have to come get him to bring him home. It worked exactly as I planned and Brielle was the best she has ever been on that drive. It was wonderful. Colton only ended up staying at our house for one night and I can't blame him. Him and I went to Batman together...what a great show. Adam took him four wheeling and I think he even let Colton drive. While they were out I took Brielle to Walmart to look around a get a few groceries. I had picked out a couple new PJ's for her and put them on her lap...when all of the sudden she puked all over herself, the cart, my hands, the new pj's, and the floor. It was the most awful smell...I hurried and told a worker, called Adam told him to come help asap and ran to the bathroom to get rid of the smell. Adam and Colton showed up and could smell us from a mile away...Brielle seemed ok (she always takes it like a big girl) so we continued shopping. Then Adam had this brilliant idea to give her a fruit snack. She put it in her mouth, pulled it out, and puked in Adams hands!!!! I don't know what he was thinking. So I took her home and put her in the bath. She ended up throwing up 3 more times that night and then she was better. When my mom came down we showed her around, and she babysat while Adam and I went to see X-files. On Saturday we went down to St. George and went swimming at the Washington rec center. The best pool ever. Then spent the day with my fam and stayed the night at my sisters.

This week I started a play group. I was sick of being stuck at home with no friends, so I built up the motivation and asked some girls from the ward to come over. It was a lot of fun and we are going to keep doing it. I also got BREAKING DAWN on Monday night and had it read by Wednesday night. I didn't even stay up late. It was too easy of a book. I wanted it to last a couple weeks. But I Loved it and I won't say anything else about it just in case you haven't read it yet. We had dinner with our neighbors a couple times and went to Chilis with them last night. It was a lot of fun. There little girl learned how to make herself throw up...and she gagged herself twice. Reminded me of Brielle, minus the white from the curdled milk and no smell. Thank goodness.

So that is what we have been up to. Nothing too exciting. Here are some pictures from this month...my mom has the ones from Bear lake so as soon as she sends me some I will post them as well.
